Exciting new Opportunity for NCG Ag Producer Members

Nevada County Fairgrounds

Nevada County Grown will be the main sponsor of The Union's fall "Living Healthy, Living Green" show (previously the Fall Home Show) at the Nevada County Fairgrounds. The Union is revamping the show to have a major focus on Nevada County including a significant agricultural presence.  The show will continue to have some of their usual vendors, but they are bringing a more local and green feeling to it and they have asked NCG to work with them to showcase Nevada County's thriving local agricultural community. 

We have secured the entire Northern Mines building, the Wine Pavilion and the surrounding grounds for Nevada County Grown.  Booth sales are restricted to NCG Ag Members until August 20.  If there are any booths available after that we’ll offer them to mission-related organizations (such as Local Food Coalition, NCRCD, etc.).  The ONLY agricultural producers in our area of the fairgrounds will be NCG Ag Members.

 

Deeply Discounted Booth Space

We know how far your budget has to stretch so we have kept the booth spaces as low as possible.

Only $35 for an outdoor booth (aprox 10'x10').
Only $50 for an indoor booth (aprox 10'x10').

2 days at the fairgrounds with an estimated 1,000 people per day.
10am to 5pm Saturday, 10am to 4pm Sunday

We want to see all of our Producer Members out at the fairgrounds for this event!  If you still can't justify the cost on your own, consider sharing a booth with another member. Want to have a bigger presence? Get a "double booth" or a "booth & a half".

What Will NCG Be Doing at the Show?

• We will be showcasing Nevada County Grown Members.
• We will have an NCG display representing all of our ag members, to show the diversity of things we grow in this county.
• We will give NCG Farms and Ranches an opportunity to sell their products and promote their services to the entire region.
• We will have food vendors serving locally sourced foods.
• We will present demonstrations and talks such as gardening, why buy local, and raising chickens.
• We will have NCG wineries represented and their wines for sale by the glass.
• We will have livestock on display
• We will have a live band
• Wow! Fresh produce, animals, demonstrations, food, wine and music.  Add the traditional pumpkin patch and maze outside the Northern Mines Building and we will be drawing people to our exhibits.

 

Marketing

This event is put on by The Union, so there will be lots of  Marketing!   Their promotions will be highlighting all of the new and interesting things at their fall show.   Of course NCG is a significant part of that!  

 

Attendee Demographics

This show will be a great opportunity to reach new demographics in our community while also keeping connected with our "usual" customers. Many of the attendees of these shows in the past have been those interested in the full spectrum of home and garden products and services. Over the years that crowd has grown to include the more environmentally conscious and local-minded crowd. This year we would expect you to gain new customers who "did not realize there was so much farming here!", and we would expect you to see your existing customers as well.  If you would normally do a Farmers Market on that Saturday, think of the exposure you’ll get by being at the Fairgrounds this weekend.
